I have a Gigabyte--GA-MA790FX-UD5P MB.The memory sent does not fit-i used the scanner--upgrade for a Giga-Byte GA-MA790FXT(rev.1.0) System 2-1GB DDR3 Ballistix Kit of 2 BL12864BE1608.8SFB1order Qty2----The memory does not line up and will not fit--what should i do.--Gerald

Wow, those UD5P boards must be having issues. I've seen more posts here about Gigabyte boards than any other, save for Macs. Have you read any of the other posts and solutions?! There are a few. Maybe Crucial needs to get a couple of them and test them. See if any of the other posts here about Gigabyte boards helps you. Let us know if you do or don't find a solution. :smileyhappy:

Hello,

The problem is the board you have takes DDR2 memory. Please see the link for the parts for it:

The board you say was ordered for is a DDR3 board. Please see the following link for this board:

http://www.crucial.com/store/listparts.asp?model=GA-MA790FXT-UD5P+(rev.+1.0)

That being said, if the parts were purchased direct, please contact our Customer Service department for an exchange. If they were purchased from a vendor, you will need to contact that vendor for an exchange.
