Hi Nicola,

How are you connecting the card to the computer? Is it through a card reader or is there an SD card slot on it? If the card works ok in the camera it sounds like the card reader or slot you are using for the PC is not SDHC compatible. Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC) cards are designed for use in SDHC-enabled devices and are not backwards compatible with standard SD legacy devices. The SDHC format enables cards of higher density than standard SD but if your card reader is a few years old it may not have this functionality. It may be best to confirm this with the manufacturer of the card reader or PC if it is an onboard slot.

Hope this helps.

Nicola,

It might be worth your time to go to Dell's website and look for an updated driver or firmware for that slot (Dell would most likley refer to it as a media card reader). It's unfortunately not guaranteed to solve your problem, but you have nothing to lose by trying it.

Good luckl! :)
