Okay I recently bought 2 kits of 2x1G 1066Mhz to run on a Gigabyte EP45_UD3R with an Intel E8400 3.00GHz, one kit hat these serial numbers 9400A6CA and 9400A6CB, the other kit had these ones 7E156394 and 8710DF1E, I entered the BIOS and ajusted the voltage to the rated 2.0v becuase it was at 1.8v, the LED's on the 7E156394 stick which I put into slot one were working a lot slower than the other LED's, I then changed the same stick to slot two and the performance of my system whilst running a simple test with winrar dropped significantly from 1400Kb to 750Kb, I than changed the sticks to be 9400A6CA slot 1 9400A6Cb slot 3 left the mentioned stick in slot 2 and 8710DF1E slot 4, now the performance has increased back to 1400Kb but the LED's on stick 2 are working much slower than the others and its really quite annoying, I dont know what could be wrong with it but it isnt working like the others are and I'm wondering if its faulty or not, I also thought it was strange that two of the sticks have near matching serial numbers but the other two dont and the faulty one is one of the sticks that dont. I dont know what more to type so read this and post any ideas that you have and ask for any information that you want.

Have you tried contacting Crucial Customer Support yet? That really sounds like an issue that they would have to deal with. More than likely, they're going to get you started on an RMA. Good luck.
