Crucial Ballistix Sport LT 4GB 2666 - single rank instead of dual rank?

Hello everyone,

a few weeks ago I bought 2*4GB DDR4 Ballistix Sport LT 2666. The main reason why I opted for these RAM sticks is the fact that they are dual rank according to the official website (https://ballistixgaming.com/products/dram/sport/ballistix-sport-lt-ddr4.html).

After installing them I ran the software CPU-Z and here are the results:

1) https://www.dropbox.com/s/6qlyu5x9wdmt0lb/ram1.JPG?dl=0

2) https://www.dropbox.com/s/5lao71mhochr0hy/ram2.JPG?dl=0

The software recognise them as single rank and I really wonder why since according to the Crucial website, only 8GB stick have a single rank model.

I already contacted Crucial Germany but I'm still waiting on a response.

I was wondering if anybody else is facing the same problem.

Thank you

Hi @sebag

Thanks for contacting us today. We would be happy to look into this further for you. What is the make and model of the computer that the RAM is installed in?  This will help us determine anything we may be able to suggest to get this RAM running in dual channel mode.
