Hello i have an ASRock G41C-GS (LGA775 ) motherboard ...I saw with ur scanner that i can use BLS2KIT4G3D1339DS1S00 2x4gb 10600 1333 cl9 dual channel kit kit with the above motherboard
In my country the only kit sold by same specs is the BLS2CP4G3D1339DS1S00 2x4gb 10600 1333 cl9 dual channel kit
Do the above different codes refer to the same actual kit of RAM?
&most importantly will i have compatibility issues choosing the BLS2CP4G3D1339DS1S00???

I must add that i recently updated the bios to the latest one (version 1.40 december 2013) which improves the ram compatibility(as claimed)

I am sorry for the delay in response. BLS2KIT4G3D1339DS1S00 and BLS2CP4G3D1339DS1S00 are the exact same kits. The difference in the part number only refers to how the RAM is packaged. You will have not compatibility issues with your system and BLS2CP4G3D1339DS1S00 as it has been tested and is guaranteed to be compatible. Please let us know if you have any further questions.

thank u very much...my mobo is old and tricky.... i already had a failure with more expensive ram from a RAM competitor that suggested me certain rams but without any guarantee since my mobo wasn t on their ram configurator..
Crucial is the only company supporting yet my mobo and guaranteeing a group of RAM modules specifically for it but i had to be sure anyway ..soooo ..
Thank u for the reply and help! I already ordered that kit of ram and waiting to receive them !!!

Hello again,I received the kit today and it worked immediately after i installed the modules with no issues. The thing is i have my cpu fsb raised lightly from 333 to 343 (1333-->1372)
the motherboard gives me two options in this case ...using the ram as ddr3 1028 with dram frequency =514 working at a 3:2 ratio with cpu , or use it as ddr3 1372 with 687 dram frequency working at 2:1 ratio.Unfortunately when i set it to ddr3 1372 option it doesn t post either with 1.50v or with 1.60v that i tried so far....and even worse ,in the ddr3 1028 option it doesn t let me tighten timings either despite jedec supports cl8 timings in such speed and higher ...seems my mobo works strictly with cl9 rams
My previous kit 2x 2gb from other manufacturer was a 1333 cl8 kit .My mobo only let it work with cl9 timings but i could set it at full speed ddr3 1372 (oc) without any issues at metest and very stable with the standard 1.5 volts
Is there any way i can fully exploit my new ram???
I must add that i cannot further oc my fsb. After 343 it becomes unstable and at fsb 345 it crashes and doesn t post .so it wouldn t be possible to further oc my cpu fsb at 440mhz and make the ram automatically reach 666 mhz frequency ( DDR3 1333 speeds)
G41 chipsets are bad overclockers

It sounds like it must be a limitation with the new RAM. BLS2CP4G3D1339DS1S00 is not really made to be overclocked and that may be why you are experiencing the issues that you have. I am sorry for the inconvenience that this may cause.

Thanks again for the reply....i had seen reviews of successfully overclocking ballistix modules and i thought this one will have some oc capability too ....anyway its ok as it is...i don t see much difference in real world performance ,but theoritically what would it be an optimum kit (of ballistix range preferably) that i could make it work as 1333 which is the maximum speed my ram controller supports, with guaranteed compatibility ofc...would a 1600mhz module be able to work as 1333 cl9 without issues??( that s the max suported settings for my mobo unfortunately

The Ballistix Sport is pretty basic and is set to be plug in play. It's basically the same as our Crucial brand RAM but with a heat spreader. If you are wanting faster speeds you would want to go with our Tactical line or Tactical Tracer. The Tactical line is the yellow modules you can find on the view all upgrades page here. The Tactical Tracers are the ones that light up and can also be found on that same page. The setting of these will also be dependent on your Front Side Bus Speed and CPU speed. The limitations will be there, but the tactical tracers would allow you to adjust the settings easily.
