Re: Ballistix Tactical Tracers and X79

Hi, I bought Ballistix Tactical Tracer sometimes ago and sometimes my computer unable to boot up. (Rampage 4 extreme). This can be easily solve by turning off and on my computer. I had another problem is that my RAM only show Orange LED. The blue LED doesn't show up even after updating MOD software. Also, very dim.

Can I do RMA?

Re: Ballistix Tactical Tracers and X79

I'm interested in running 64gb of this memory in a Asus Rampage Black edition (red+green). Are there plans for 1866mhz sticks in 8gb? What is the part number for the current (revised) memory that will work with x79 on this motherboard? And finally has this ram been tested with all 64gb installed in an x79 board?. Thank you for reading my post.

Re: Ballistix Tactical Tracers and X79

Hi Senate,

Thanks for contacting us today. It is a possibility that we will manufacturer 8GB modules in 1866mhz R/G, but not guarantee. This system has been tested with 64GB of RAM and we can guarantee that our RAM will work in it. The RAM upgrades for this system can be found here.  If you purchase from this link you would be getting the appropriate revision. If you have a specific module you are interested in I could get you the full part number for the appropriate revision, but that other vendors do not list them with the full extension if you were wanting to purchase them through another vendor.

Re: Ballistix Tactical Tracers and X79

Ok so I received the new RAM (thanks by the way), I installed it and it appears to work fine. It is being clocked down to 1333 MHz insted of it's native 1600 MHz but I'm sure that is a BIOS setting.

The MOD utility still will not function. I am running Windows 8.1 and this is the error I get:

To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this

jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging

For example:

<configuration>

Got RAM to 1600 MHz using XMP in BIOS. Still have that issue with the MOD utility though.

Hi advent,

I am sorry that you are still having issues with your memory modules. The mod utility has been updated as of last month. Will you try reinstalling from this link?  Thanks in advance.

Ya. I'll reinstall the software using your link. I'll edit this post with my findings.

EDIT: The 64-bit version refuses to work. It throws the error message I posted earlier. The 32-bit version functions just fine. Which is odd as I am running Windows 8.1 64-bit.

Re: Ballistix Tactical Tracers and X79

That is very odd. But everything is now functioning as it should be?
