RAM for a HP Elitebook 8570p (Energy Star)

Happy New Year!

I just purchased the following HP Notebook:

Smart Buy- HP EliteBook 8570p Notebook PC
(ENERGY STAR)
E1Y28UT#ABA

http://h71016.www7.hp.com/MiddleFrame.asp?ProductLineId=539&FamilyId=3544&BaseId=41428

I plan on taking out the 4GB RAM in the laptop and replacing with "2 x 8GB" Kit

I want the BEST RAM- Lowest Latency

Granted the system says- 1.35V 9-9-9-24 DDR3 PC1600- PC3-12800

If for example- I find the  DDR3 PC3-14900 would this RAM be compatible with my system- since I just want to put the RAM in and not worry about changing any settings manually- just PnP!

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi KenBT,

Thank you for contacting us today. The DDR3 PC3.14900 RAM is compatible with your system, but after I did some research it looks like the Front Side Bus speed of your system is only 1600 mhz, so that is as fast as any memory would go. The RAM that I would recommend is part CT3351792. This RAM is 1.35V 9-9-9-24 DDR3 PC1600- PC3-12800. Please let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.
