Crucial Mx300 525gb can't be detected by my computer?

The ssd arrive yesterday and I install it together with a hdd but the bio, control manager, crucial storage executive doesn't detect it.

I tried to switch the sata cable around but it still doesn't work only the hdd works and my bios version is the latest too.

MotherBoard is MSI Z97 PC Mate.

Can anyone help me out at wit ends here...

Do you have any other system you can try it in to see if the drive itself is OK?  Or maybe an external cable such as sata to USB?

If the drive is OK, a BIOS update is likely to be the only solution to help it not being seen.  I appreciate 'update your BIOS' sounds a bit of a cop-out but it's worked too often to not suggest it!

What ports are the drives on? Are you using the Asmedia ports for any? If so, is the Asmedia sata controller active in bios?
