You can update the firmware from here in the meantime: http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/support-ssd-firmware

Re: Crucial Storage Executive, Version 3.20 Doesn't see my BX100 1TB

I just installed a new BX100 1TB SSD as a boot drive under Win 7 x64. It works great, but CSE doesn't see it at all, though it sees the other SSDs on my system (Samsung, Sandisk). It shows them as Drive 2 and Drive 3, but there is no Drive 0 or Drive 1. The drive is running on an Intel IRST controller, with latest driver v14.5.0.1081.

I have a multi-boot system. I booted from a different Win 7 x64 disk (Samsung SSD)  and installed CSE there to see if it would see the BX100 as an attached disk, but CSE wouldn't even run, hanging on the "loading" screen.
What gives?? Thanks, JW

Re: Crucial Storage Executive, Version 3.20

People have suggested in the past that firewalls can interfere with it.

If all you want to do is update your firmware you can do it manually from here: http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/support-ssd

Re: Crucial Storage Executive, Version 3.20

Hey everyone,

I just installed version 3.20 and get a pop-up at bottom of screen using

ie 11 that says 'Intranet settings are turned off by default' then I can

'don't show this message again' or " turn on intranet settings' ....

So, was wondering why that would be poping up ? Does Storage Executive

use Intranet for something ? Is it dangerous to turn on ?

I've never had this pop up before. Went and read a few posts on ms site...

but can't find anything about why this software would  be giving me this notice.

thanks in advance if anyone knows something about this...

Re: Crucial Storage Executive, Version 3.20

Ok, think of it like this, 'internet' means the network outside of your equipment connected through via your internet service provider (telephone or tv company etc.). 'Intranet' is your side of the router, your home network, your PCs and laptops and your router. So, if the network you connected to is trusted (such as your home) then turn this on. You would not do this in a hotel, for example.

This shows because the software runs a small web server on your PC which your browser accesses, over your 'intranet'.
