Crucial mx300 275gb m.2 SSD not recognized by HP ProDesk 400 G3 Microtower

[ Edited ]
Hello,
I am going crazy, yesterday I got a new computer (HP ProDesk 400 G3 Microtower) and tried to install in it the Crucial MX300 275GB m.2.

From some reason, the computer just not recognizing the SSD...

I read online a lot and couldn't find a solution (what I did find didn't work).

Please help me, I'm desperate!

Thank you, Amit.

What is the exact model of your HP ProDesk 400 G3 Microtower (for example V0C45UT or something like that)?

Does it have two M.2 connectors (one for wireless card and one for SSD)?

It is possible that M.2 SSD connector in your HP support M.2 PCIe x4 Gen 2 type SSDs but M.2 SSDs from Crucial are of SATA type (not PCIe).

Thank you for the fast reply.
My exact model is 1GG02UT#ABA.
It has the two connectors, but I don't know if it's PCIe or SATA.

Take a look at data sheets and manuals. I am afraid it is PCIe and it won't work with SATA M.2 SSD Smiley Sad

Oh that's not good...
Is there a way to make it work? Like an adapter or something?

I have no knowlede of such adapters but who knows, maybe they are available. Keep in mind it would have to fit in the very limited space of your PC chassis.

Wouldn't it be easier to replace this SATA M.2 drive with standard 2,5" SATA SSD (that you could put in 2.5” internal storage drive bay) or much faster PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD?
