Firmware revision M0CR040 for the Crucial MX300 (all form factors) is now available. This firmware update applies to the MX300 SSD (all form factors), and should not be applied to any other Crucial SSD model. Currently, the firmware update is available through the Crucial Storage Executive and through a manual boot file found here:
Release Date: 11/1/2016
Additional details can be found in the firmware guide.

Is your executive assistant software ever going to be available for a Mac?
Thermal throttling is Windows only correct?
I will pass on this update. I haven't burned a CD in forever, LOL! Do they still sell them;-)

Thermal Throttling is part of the drive firmware. Your OS is irrelevant.

How do you enable it on a Mac? I am assuming through Executive Assistant which isn't available on a Mac?

It's simply enabled. There is no user control of it.

I just bought a MX300 1TB 2.5" SSD but haven't installed it yet, because it is planned to use it with the new Playstation 4 Pro comming next week.
I have just a Laptop computer at home, but it has an eSATA port.
Is it possible to connect the MX300 by using the eSATA port and perform the firmware update with crucial storage executive?
Thanks in advance for a little support.
BR from a SSD beginner.
