The app wont even launch on windows 10 creators update.
Update It seems that 64 bit java has massive problems in win 10 creators update and since the creators update uses that the app wont run.

This won't help much, but it works fine for me in Windows 10 x64 creators update!
As a software developer though, I am aware MS have broken some stuff with Creators Update. I'm kinda hoping they'll fix it!

Is there any way to make it work in the latest version of Windows 10?

I wanted to update the firmware so I tried Safe Mode with Networking, CSE worked fine there.

Same problem. On none of my two machines I can start the app after Win 10 creator's update. Previously all worked fine. Please patch or contact Microsoft about the issue.

MS are fixing what I need fixed in June thankfully. So there's still hope they'll fix stuff for people!
One thing to note is my current Windows install (which it works in) was a clean Creators edition install since my registry performance was awful in my ancient, many times upgraded, previous install. I assume most people have upgraded Windows whilst Storage Exec was already installed?
