New firmware for C300 update

Hello,

We’ve been monitoring the Crucial customer forums and are aware of the 0006 firmware issue being experienced by a small percentage of C300 owners. The Crucial Performance Lab is in the final stages of testing for a new firmware revision that addresses and corrects the version 0006 issue. Additionally, we’ve made an improvement to the firmware upgrade process so it will be able to be performed in AHCI mode for many chipsets. We expect this firmware update to be available in late April 2011 and will make the download available to customers at the earliest possible date. Thank you for your feedback and patience.

This is so great news , I was just thinking how would I gladly buy C300 if in this or next week I found that new firmware will be released so that I would not have to worry about 0006 problems. I know that minority of people have these problems but it is still a risk nad my C300 will be bought in another country so RMA will not be easy.

New firmware is really a great news.

Will there be other improvements besides fixing 0006 issues?

I do not have any release notes for this update.  Once they become available, they will be posted out here.

I highly doubt they would post such an update on a serious matter like this as an April Fools joke.

But I do agree, they could have picked a better day to mention this so people weren't thinking it might be a joke.

Will this new firmware address the LPM issue? The 2011 Macbook Pros are now affected as well (running Sandy Bridge and all), and there is no workaround to turn LPM off in OSX.
