No Acronis disk?

No Acronis disk?

I just received a new Crucial SSD, http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/inspiron-13-%287378%29/CT9856437, but the package did not include a disk for Acronis. According to the page above, it should include "Acronis® True Image™ HD certificate". Should there be a disk or download?

Re: No Acronis disk?

It should include a slip of paper with an address to download it from.

@maxinegerb, there is no disk. You should have a serial number and the software can be downloaded from www.crucial.com/acronis address, I think.

Re: No Acronis disk?

Thanks. Yes, I found that out through customer service after I posted. It seems like I should have gotten some notification of the download.

Unfortunately, I can't use that version of Acronis, because I only have one SSD slot, and the software requires that a crucial drive be installed. I'm planning to create a disk image of the old SSD to an external hard drive, and then install the new drive and copy the disk image back to that. So the crucial SSD won't be installed when I create the disk image.

I'll use a free product instead.
