Sony VAIO slow ssd

[ Edited ]

hello, I have a problem with my 256gb ssd. install in a sony vaio all in one. and it's going very slow, slower than when I was a normal hard drive. try updating the firmware of the ssd and I delete all content. idk if this or outdated. that can make me go so slow pc? I must say that I have installed windows 8 x64 pro with media center. I hope you can help me. My computer is a Sony VAIO all in one. Model: VPCL12M1E / S.

Could you please post up a screenshot from http://alex-is.de/PHP/fusion/downloads.php?download_id=9

The download link for it is right at the bottom of the page.

It will show us the drive speed as well as certain relevant diagnostic information.

Thanks!

Sorry, I'm not too familiar with the V4.  Hopefully someone else can help you.

I do note though that you appear to be at sata 1 speed and IDE only.

Are these expected limitations of your computer?

If not you may need to change the sata port you are using an/or update your bios for a faster sata speed.

And follow this guide: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/922976 and then change from IDE to AHCI in your bios if the option exists.
