Ssd not detected by bios

I cannot power cycle it since I'm using a laptop and don't have a screwdriver. This happens all of the time. Most recently when I was leaving the bios which I suppose counts as sudden power loss. Does this issue occur with other ssds? Not only is this incredibly annoying but I have no reliable means of fixing it.

Once you've recovered it (I guess you must have some way of doing so as you said it happens often?) then the latest firmware should prevent it happening again: http://forum.crucial.com/t5/Solid-State-Drives-SSD/Crucial-m4-SSD-040H-04MH-firmware-available-now/t...

That's helpful, thanks. I just leave the laptop in the bios and check back occasionally and eventually it works again.
