System crashes on my new MX300 2.5 SSD after cloning

I have an older western digital 1T drive that I cloned to a Crucial mx300 SSD 2T 2.5 using the Acronis 2015 software that came with the drive.  The system is a desktop computer.  After the cloning, I unplugged the older drive and I left the SSD drive in.  The computer started fine and it appears that all my programs were duplicated.  The problem is that every program I open eventually freezes or crashes.  I got some error messages with Steam and Google also.  It also seems slower and the graphics are poorer.  I checked disk management for any signs of problems and I found none.  What should I do?

If the Acronis software is still installed try to uninstall it - it causes similar issues on some systems.

Also I would look into the drivers that are being in use - particularly storage driver. It is possible that some old storage driver, that was good for older HDD, were cloned and now it doesn't support your SSD properly.
