Over the weekend I formated my new 2tb ssd hard drive on a work windows 10 laptop to be used as an external drive. Now I need to connect it to my personal Mac Laptop (MacBook Pro, 13-inch, Mid 2012, 2,9 Ghz Intel Core i7). I can copy files off the drive but I cant seam to add files onto this drive. Does anyone have ant suggestions as to why I cant add files?

They use a different file system. A Mac can read, but not write NTFS (the Windows file system)

Thanks for the information on the above problem. I dont think I will be confident to try that as my computer skills arent that hot. How are external hard drives you buy in the shops already programed to work on both systems?

Basically... they're not. As per your original thread - they start life not formatted for any file system. Then you format them on the computer you intend to use them on. Which is what you did for Windows following the guide in your previous thread.
FAT32 is an older PC file system that's compatible with pretty much anything. So you could reformat the drive as that.
