V4 SSD and MacBook Pro Mid 2009

Hi,

I've recently been given a V4 256GB SSD. I used Carbon Copy Cloner to clone the data across and then installed the SSD in the Mac. Unfortunatley I have been getting slower perfomance with the SSD than I did with the HD.

any advise? help? please.

thanks in advance.

Hi punitmufc,

First of all I'm sorry to hear that you are having problems with your V4 SSD.

Can you confirm some details for me about your system?  Can you confirm the processor speed and the screen size of your MacBook Pro?

Have you updated the firmware on the V4?  We currently don't have a direct update available for Mac systems however you can update the drive by connecting it to a Windows based system and downloading the firmware HERE.
