Oh sorry about that, I misread that the M4 never had that problem. I use an M4.

This software didn't help and I can't get back old 4K-64Thrd.

What I already did:

1) Downgrade to 000F

2) Diffirent SATA Cable

3) Diffirent Sata port (Intel)

4) Different Sata port (Asmedia)

5) Downgrade motherboard BIOS from old to old (april 2012)

6) Clean start (only microsoft service)

7) I left PC to idle for 10 hours

8) I left PC to idle with this trimming software

None of these steps didn't resolved low speed. I'm not sure if this can be problem but for six moths of using this SSD I reinstalled Windows about 15 times (had lot of problems with SLI and NVIDIA drivers before but thanks god I don't have sli anymore).

I don't have strong stuttering. They almost not noticable (only when I watch youtube like example I can get 2-3 stutter during 5 min of video).

The stuttering is not a problem of the SSD. It's a problem with your browser or most probably Flash player.

Then what about performance results? What exacly caused drop?

Alex_E, I think you should try to provide some more details :-)

What Windows version do you have?

What is the exact model of your motherbord or exact model of your laptop?

What was your M4's 4K-64Thrd speeds before? Do you have any screenshot?

Did you try running Event Viewer in order to check is there any error information that could be helpful for you?

You have updated M4's firmware from 0309 which as far as I can recall has best benchmark for some systems. Also you were flashing your BIOS several times and I believe it is possible that flashing process changed/cleared some setting and caused performance difference.

There's no known solution to that within this thread - but it's never caused anyone the issues you are describing.

In fact a drop in that particular stat isn't likley to cause anyone any issues who isn't running a massively overloaded database server (or a benchmark Smiley Very Happy )

Re: low 4K-64Thrd with AS SSD

I have Windows 7 64-bit Ultimate.

My motherboard: Asus P8Z77-V

I had 270 mb/s read and 150-160 mb/s write

I always check Event Viewer can I haven't found any erros. My Windows installed less than month ago.

When I bought this SSD 6 months ago I had 000F but I upgraded from it to 0309 and then to latest. I tried downgrade to 000F but I still get same poor performance.

Re: low 4K-64Thrd with AS SSD

I presume your 270 mb/s read and 150-160 mb/s write was benchmarked with AS SSD benchmark. It's a pity you don't have a screenshot for that. Please try to enable (or disable if it is enabled) Hot Plug option in your BIOS. Also you could try to check do SMART attributes of your M4 seems to show if the drive is healthy or not, you may use CrystalDiskInfo for that.

Re: low 4K-64Thrd with AS SSD

I 'fixed" this issue. Howewer I don't know how long my SSD keep performance. I read that secure erase can be temporary sulution in that case (read first pages of this thread). And I did that.

Ppl said this is only temporary fix and speed back to low in few weeks or even datys Smiley Sad

That's pretty much why it's not worth worrying about.  Yes it's a shame.  But it doesn't have any particular real world downsides and there's no real fix.
