Crucial 8GB USB thumb drive

I have been using the USD device to save files from my iMac and Macbook. This morning I got an error message:

S.M.A.R.T Status - Not supported. What does this mean? Can it be corrected? Did I lose data?

Some times drivers and firmwars create the problem as well as insufficient power can prevent flash drives from working.

I think you have to update drives and firmware after that if your usb is not supported, its mean usb drive is dead.

You have also use this usb drives on other macbook just for testing. USB port may also create problem.

If you have the device plugged into a USB hub or into your keyboard, plug it directly into one of the USB ports on the computer. If it works there, the issue is with the device to which it had been previously connected. The device may need more power than the port provides. For free help please Contact
