Anyone???  My MacBook Pro needs more than 2mb of RAM.  Runs slower than h_ll whith Chrome and Adobe Acrobat full version running.  Thank you.

@brokenback I am sorry for the issues that you have experienced with the scanner. You could try running it in a different browser and see if that resolves the issue. We can also find the correct memory for you using your system information. What is the processor speed, screen size, and year of your Macbook Pro?

Re: Error when trying to open the scanner

My Macbook Pro is one with a 13" diplay and I purchased it in June 1015.  I hope this helps to find the correct RAM that I need.

Re: Error when trying to open the scanner

Hello brokenback,

Thank you for your reply.

It looks like you have the MacBook Pro retina 13 inch 2015 model.  We don't actually recommend any upgrades for this model.  Due to the way it was built, upgrades can't be performed on that system.

To double check the model, please confirm your Mac serial number.  You will find this by accessing "About this Mac".  Once I have this, I can check exactly for you.  If you do have any other questions at all, please don't hesitate to ask.

Re: Error when trying to open the scanner

Thank you for contacting me back.

This is what is in the Contents folder after I unzipped it......
I tried using Chrome, SeaMonkey & Firefox.  No good.  Still not able to get the correct files to use the MacScanner unzipped file.

This what I get when I try to open the file called: CrucialMacScanner...

Any help would be appreciated.

I looked up what I believe is the correct RAM.  Is this pic what my Macbook Pro uses??

Re: Error when trying to open the scanner

My system: Notes about your system:

This 13" system may utilize one of the following processors:
2.4GHz Dual Core Intel Core i5 or 2.8GHz Dual Core Intel Core i7 processor.

Your Apple MacBook Pro (13-inch, Late 2011) system specs as shipped
memory
  • Maximum Memory:16GB
  • Slots:2 (2 banks of 1)
*Not to exceed manufacturer supported memory.

what does this mean?

Re: Error when trying to open the scanner

Thanks for providing that link to the upgrades available for your system. Is your question as to why you see the messaging "not to exceed manufacturer supported memory"? We do not recommend upgrading past the recommended amount of RAM. In your case this amount is 16GB of RAM. We have done extensive testing on our end and can guarantee that your system is upgradeable to 16GB. In some of these 2011 systems Apple may recommend 8GB originally, but technology has changed and more testing has been done, so we can now guarantee your system is upgradeable to 16GB. More on this can be found here.  Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns about anything.

Re: Error when trying to open the scanner

That is what I found on the website. Pretty sure those are accurate.  I simply need more RAM.
