Imac late 2015 upgrade

Hey !

my imac has 8gb ram ( 2*4gb) and i just purchased a 8gb ram but I didn't meant to buy one module 8gb! . I wanted 2*4gb as same as original one!

My question is: is that ok if I just add this 8gb next to the 2*4gb ?

Re: Imac late 2015 upgrade

Hi Abellz,

Thanks for contacting us today. As long as you purchased from the compatibility list for your system you will be able to add the single 8GB module along side your existing RAM. There is no advantage to installing a pair of memory in your system compared to a kit.

Please let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.
