Re: Upgrade of mid-2012 MBP to 16GB RAM actually work?

Hi scottzzz,

Thanks for contacting us. Yes, CT3327430 is identical to CT2K8G3S160BM. If you were to purchase using either part number you would receive identical RAM. Thanks for your question.

Re: Upgrade of mid-2012 MBP to 16GB RAM actually work?

Hi,

I have a mid-2012 Macbook Pro, 2.5GHz i5 with 4GB 1600Mhz DDR3, it needs a memory upgrade. I want to put 16GB in it, and according to previous answers in this forum, I need this kit:   Crucial 16GB Kit (2 x 8GB) DDR3L-1600 SODIMM Memory for Mac, CT3327430.

Please can you inform me whether this is the correct kit, and if so, where can I buy it? I am currently in mainland China, and cannot seem to find it on your Chinese site.

Thanks!

Re: Upgrade of mid-2012 MBP to 16GB RAM actually work?

Hello,

I want to upgrade the memory ram to 16GB. I have a Macbook Pro Mid 2012 with 4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3.

Apple's website says its support only 8GB, but I saw the comments here and Crucial garantees that 16GB wiil work fine.

I need more memory to use W10 and OS Sierra with bootcamp. Using Windows with 16GB, i'll have a better performance? I mean, the mac will reconize with both systems?

Re: Upgrade of mid-2012 MBP to 16GB RAM actually work?

@marianaborgs Thanks for your comment on this post. Yes, we do guarantee that your Macbook Pro Mid 2012 (non Retina display) model is upgradeable to 16GB of RAM.  You should see much better performance upgrading to 16GB of RAM if you are using memory intensive programs as it sounds like you are. A list of upgrades for yoru system can be found here. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.
