Re: Upgrade of mid-2012 MBP to 16GB RAM actually work?

Hi FSMeurinne,

Thank you for contacting us today. No, this RAM is not compatible with your system. Your system has memory soldered to the board and is not user upgradeable.

Re: Upgrade of mid-2012 MBP to 16GB RAM actually work?

Hi...

I have a MacBook Pro 13-Inch, Mid 2012

Processor:  2.5 GHz Intel Core i5

Memory: 4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 4000 1536 MB

Non-Retina

Crucial's Store isn't available in my country so can you please look at this link and let me know if this RAM chip would work with my Laptop.

Thanks!

Re: Upgrade of mid-2012 MBP to 16GB RAM actually work?

Hi - I too have the same MacBook Pro 13-Inch, Mid-2012

Processor:  2.5 GHz Intel Core i5

Memory: 4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 4000 1536 MB

Non-Retina

I plan to upgrade the RAM slots one at a time mainly because of the cost factor.

As a first step I plan to upgrade the RAM to 10 GB (8GB + 2 GB) which I plan to run for sometime.

Then upgrade it to 16 GB (8GB + 8 GB) finally.

Is it advisible to do the 10 GB (8+2) configuration? Or should I wait to upgrade both the slots to 8GB?

Hi Ben Sailo,

You could upgrade this system by upgrading just one slot if you prefer. There is no reason you need to upgrade both slots.

Please let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.
