I'm just curious, I'm ordering a refurbished 2012 Macbook Pro (Pre-Retina) with 2.5GHz Dual-core Intel i5 and 4GB ram. I also have an old MPB 2010 with it's motherboard that gave up on me. I was thinking of installing my old MPB's 8GB Ram and replacing it on the 'new' macbook pro.
While I'm looking into this, I've come to realised that my 2010 spec is 8GB 1067 MHz DDR3. While the 2012 model is 4GB 1600MHz DDR3 SDRAM.
So what I've trying to figure out is, is it possible to install the 1067MHz DDR3 on the new MPB which accepts 1600MHz?
