I have noticed on your site and apples that when purchasing it implies the max ram is 32.
However on the Apple support page it doesn't list any hardware limitations except 64, and multiple people have reported using the 16x2 modules to add onto the existing 8 to result in 40g on the 3.4ghz machine.
What's more, the only review you received on the 8x2 ram u list as specifically for this 3.4ghz model, states it didn't work with the Pre-installed 8g and would only work alone.
Can u share some more insight on this. Would other ram most likely work, and it's just not listed as it hasn't been fully tested and guaranteed by you?
@Marty852 I am sorry for the confusion on our listing. We do have a listing that shows the 32GB kit you would need for upgrading to 64GB of RAM. The listing for this can be found here. As long as your iMac utilizes one of these processors (3.4GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5, 3.5GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5, 3.8GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5, or 4.2GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7) this upgrade will work well. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.
