im runing Windows 7 64bit Professional. It is a Acer Aspire 5532(Z). It has 3GB RAM right now with 2 RAM cards 1 @ 2GB and 1 @ 1GB. I was wondering if i could upgrade both to 4GB RAM chips? Or if i could just upgrade the 1GB to a 4GB for 6GB of ram? Ive used the tool here that analyses it and it said i should just buy a 2GB RAM stick and replace the 1GB. But i want as much power as possible any suggestions?
Thanks for your time,

According to your specs, your laptop has two memory slots and can support a maximum of 4GBs total. If that were my laptop, I would for opt for a new 4GB Kit (2GBx2) and take advantage of your laptop's "dual channel" memory architecture.
Your specs follow (I couldn't find a Z version anywhere):
Good luck in whatever decision you make!

Thank you for contacting us today. The Acer Aspire 5532 has a max memory of 4GB of RAM. The most that you could install is 2 x2GB of memory. The memory that we guarantee as compatible for your system can be found here. I am sorry for any inconvenience that this may cause.

We have only tested the system as compatible with 4GB of RAM. We can only guarantee that it will support 4GB. If you are able to install 8GB with no problems then that is great We just can't recommend it.
