Asus P5QC Compatible modules 2X4Gb

I want to know which memory will surely work (latest bios)
1) http://eu.crucial.com/eur/en/compatible-upgrade-for/ASUS/p5qc
Listed @ Crucial EU site:
CT2348768 (out of stock)
CT2346324 (can i combine two of them?)
CT7335922
2) http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/p5qc/CT5288049
Balistix sport CT5288049 (listed on Crucial US site)
3)CRUCIAL BLS2CP4G3D1609DS1S00 BALLISTIX SPORT listed on Greek eshop (http://www.e-shop.gr/ram-crucial-bls2cp4g3d1609ds1s00-ballistix-sport-8gb-2x4gb-ddr3pc3-12800-1600mh...). Users @ forum posts (dated 2016) say thats surely works
Is there a possibility to be a newest non low density incompatible revision? Is it different from the USA listed Balistix?
4)Crucial DDR3 1600 8GB Ballistix Tactical kit PC3-12800 240pin
BLT2CP4G3D1608DT1TX0CEU
(http://www.techstores.gr/ram-ddr3-1600-8gb-ballistix-tactical-kit-pc3-12800-240pin.html ).Users @ forum posts (dated 2016) say thats surely works

Is there a possibility to be a newest non low density incompatible revision?

5)  Also found in a shop CT51264BD160B which is low density (possible compatible) but only one stick :-{ and CT51264BD160BJ ( high density-incombatible)
I'm not planning to overclock but i prefer balistix memories
Thanks in advance!

Re: Asus P5QC Compatible modules 2X4Gb

Hello asgourak,

Thank you for your questions.

I have had a look in to this further for you.  I will answer your questions in order just to make sure all your questions have been fully answered.

  • CT2348768 is showing out of stock but it is actually end of life. We will no longer be making the DDR2 4GB modules that would work in that system.
    1. 2 x CT2346324 would work perfectly fine in your system together. This system can support 16GB DDR2 or 8GB DDR3 memory.  It will not work with both DDR3 and DDR2 in the system together.
  • I can see Ballitsix listed against this model on the US website. I will get that reported in the EU to make sure it is updated.  You can install Ballistix Sport and the 4GB modules you need can be seen on the EU website here: http://eu.crucial.com/ProductDisplay?urlRequestType=Base&catalogId=10152&categoryId=&productId=11363...
  • We only list parts that are guaranteed to be compatible. The Ballistix memory we list will work with your motherboard great.
  • We don’t list Tactical Ballistix as compatible with that model. The reason for this is that when we recommend a memory module, we want our users to get the best of that memory.  The Tactical memory would not run at its best performance in your model.

I hope this answers your questions and if you do have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.

Re: Asus P5QC Compatible modules 2X4Gb

Hello asgourak,

Thank you for your reply.  I have looked in to this further for you.  First of all, I’m sorry that it does not show as compatible in the EU.  This looks like a system error on our side and I have reported it to be investigated.

I can confirm this memory is guaranteed to be compatible with your motherboard.  I am sorry for any confusion this may have caused.  You can safely use that memory in your motherboard.

If you do have any other questions at all, please don’t hesitate to ask.

Re: Asus P5QC Compatible modules 2X4Gb

Thank you for keep on helping me. I have checked UK site and it seems there are two different editions.

search results.png

First one is out of stock and appears to be compatible with P5QC and the second (CEU) is the same with the one in EU site and appears to be incompatible.

If i order CEU and is not working can i return it and refund? Should i wait for the first one to restock or is it a discontinued version?

UPDATE:

US and Japanese site have in stock BLS4G3D1609DS1S00 so i believe it's not discontinued but if i order there is a strong possibility of custom charges

All the EU sites (IT, FR, DE) only have BLS4G3D1609DS1S00CEU and stated as incompatible . There are two possibilities: It's the same module ( CEU stands as Central EUrope edition) incorrectly marked as incompatible or it is really a different newest manifacturing architecture module and it is really incompatible.

Waiting forward for your answer

Re: Asus P5QC Compatible modules 2X4Gb

Hello asgourak,

Thank you for your reply.  Your motherboard can take either DDR2 or DDR3 memory.  The memory that is going end of life is DDR2 4GB.

The memory you link to here (BLS4G3D1609DS1S00) is DDR3 memory and is not end of life.  This memory is compatible with your system.  As per my original reply, the part you need to buy on the EU website is this one:  http://eu.crucial.com/ProductDisplay?urlRequestType=Base&catalogId=10152&categoryId=&productId=11363...

That is the EU equivalent of the part you have listed.  You would buy two of those to take your system to 8GB of memory.  If you do have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.
