Hello, has anyone running Windows 8 been able to use the Crucial Scanner tool? Nothing happens when I click on the executable file with either Firefox or IE.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've not heard of any issues with the scanner running with Windows 8 at all. I would recommend possibly trying a different web browser.
If this does not work we would be more than happy to recommend memory for you. Just confirm the make and model of the computer and we can check it for you no problem at all. Either just reply to this post or contact the customer service team direct HERE.

I have looked in to this issue for you and we have found that it's a problem with Internet Explorer 11.
When running the scanner through IE 10 or using Firefox or Chrome it seems to work perfectly with Windows 8. When you are trying to run the scanner using a different web browser please make sure you click the "run" option when the system scanner download box appears.
If you select download then Windows 8 will automatically try and run it in IE 11 and it will not work. We are currently working on a solution for this and I am sorry for any problems it has caused.
Alternatively you can contact the customer service team for your region in the links in my signature. They would be more than happy to recommend memory for you if you provide the make and model of your system.

Hi, I am running Windows 8.1 and use the chrome browser, I downloaded the scanner onto my desktop and double clicked on it, clicked on run and it worked perfectly.
