DDR3 PC3-10600 vs DDR3 PC3-12800

Crucial suggests two RAM types for OptiPlex 990.

DDR3 PC3-10600 (1333Mhz) and DDR3 PC3-12800 (1600Mhz)

According to OptiPlex technical specification OptiPlex supports 1333Mhz.  While the latter one supports 1600Mhz and shouldn't do any harm, why should somebody want to buy that one?

OptiPlex is surely locked and there won't be any possibility to overclock the system (and serious why should you want to do that on an OptiPlex), hence how does this 1600Mhz memory make any sense for the OptiPlex 990?

Many Thanks for clarification,
