Upgraded from 4GB to a compatible 16 gb and now have 16gb memory which the system recognizes. System, however seems slower. OS and programs load slower, occasional lag when entering text, game freezing are my symptoms.
Windows and drivers are up to date and I have performed Hard Drive maintence plus temp file deletions.
I am a tech novice, but would appreciate any help.

@AZsharonThanks for contacting us. I am sorry for the delay in reply. It appears that there are several models of Toshiba Satellite C55 models available. Do you know your specific model? If not, you can find out by using our system scanner here. Also, what is the part number on the memory module? This will help us determine if their is a compatability issue between your system and your memory.
Please let us know if you have any other questions or concerns with anything.

This was my purachase. I used your scanning program when I purchased it. I assume it was correct.

@AZsharon Thanks for the reply. It does appear that you have received the correct RAM for your system, so it is not a compatability issue. I would advise following the steps here. You might check to see if there is BIOS update for your system available or a defective memory module causing the slowness. If you are still having issues, please contact us directly using the information in my signature.

Have not had the opportunity to try the steps outlined. Will be sometime before I can. Will update this when completed.
Thanks for your follow up.
