Over the next few months there are some big titles due to come out from Skyrim to Battlefield 3 and Arkham City.
What game or games are you looking forward to?
I’m looking forward to Arkham City and Battlefield 3.

Being a Call of Duty Black Ops fan, I'm looking forward to Modern Warfare 3 in November. I plan on trying out the new Battlefield when it comes out as well.

Battlefield 3 (I was an Alpha tester and have an invitation for the Beta, graphics and sounds are amazing!!), COD MW3, Diablo 3, Mass Effect 3, and most of all: Bioshock 3. Lots of 3s in there...

Arkham City - absolutely loved the first one! Delayed another week I see!
I got Saints Row the Third on order after playing it at a friends yesterday. I love it. It's completely insance. Like starring in a bad action movie. So much more fun than GTA 4
After a couple of upcoming Indie games too:
Grotesque Tactics 2 - spoof rpg with turn based combat
Trine 2 - beautifully looking 2d physics based puzzle platformer where you have to swap between different characters depending on the situation
In the more distant future:
Mass Effect 3
Jagged Alliance: Back in Action - unless they've ruined it and turned it into an action game like the new X-Com and Syndicate.

oops! This is an old thread isn't it? I don't venture outside SSD much.

Hello,
I'm really looking forward to Zelda Skyward Sword buy I'm going to wait for a price drop and buy used.
Anyway, here's my lists of recently played PS3 Action/Adventure games:
Infamous - Loved it, loved it, loved it! Excellent game! (now playing Infamous 2)
5 out of 5 stars
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Loved it, loved it loved it! A total deviation from the previous Castlevania storylines but much improved and sets the series up for a bunch of sequels as well.
5 out of 5 stars
Batman Arkum City - OK but I really liked the first one better and I did not like the abrupt and unexpected ending either.
31/2 out of 5 stars
Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception - Sort of a letdown because I've waited so long for it.
31/2 out of 5 stars
Red Dead Redemption - An OK game with too many side quests. Leader board shows one guy assisting almost 5,000 civilians... I completed the game with less than 15 assists (and the assists really don't get you anything)
31/2 out orf 5 stars
Prince of Persia (not Forgotten Sands) - Started slow but then I got into it..
3 out of 5 stars
Silent Hill: Homecoming - Slow, boring and weird overall; however, some parts of the game were really fun!
21/2 out of 5 stars
The Watchman - Funny, goofy, and easy at the same time. The game was so cheap, I had to try it.
21/2 out of 5 stars
Have fun,

I got Arkham City over the weekend and played a few hours yesterday, so far I love it.
I've been trying to resist the urge of Skyrim but I will probably end up buying it at some point as it's been getting amazing reviews.

As you've probably seen from my other thread, I'm jealous about Batman.
Not sure about Skrim. It is well reviewed but I don't really like open world games much. I didn't get on with Oblivion. Nor Fallout, the moment I left the first town and had to decide for myself where to go. Odd considering how much I played Frontier First Encounters back in the day. Games don't get much more open world than Elite!
On the theme of games we're looking forward to though: http://mwomercs.com/
Loved Mechwarrior 2 and 3!

The only issue I have with Skyrim is that it takes so long to get somewhere to kill something. I'm typically a FPS guy and this is a different kind of animal to me, so I'm finding that it takes some time to get know what to do when I'm not able to kill anything. The game has some inherent bugs, and it isn't able to maximize it's performance on my system without me manually changing settings, but other than that, I'm really enjoying playing it. I'm going to work on getting the frame rate up this weekend. With current settings at Ultra in DX9, I'm only getting about 60+ frames per second. On BF3, MW3 and Rage, I was getting no less than 140 fps. So, I have to do some tweaking. Grrrr.
I'm still anxious for Bioshock, and BF3 needs a patch to fix an issue with keyboard mapping that is keeping me from playing the game in multiplayer. So, until either of those two things happen, I will be playing Skyrim. Wait... oops... forgot one other important thing. If Diablo 3 comes out, I won't be playing anything else for a while.

99% of monitors these days won't do more than 60hz so there's not much point in spending a long time on that.
I've had Diablo 3 on order (at normal game price) ever since the crazy high RRP of Starcraft 2 was announced!
