Essential PC upgrade

Hello!

I am looking at upgrading my PC, I've neglected it for about 6 years now!  I am just looking for something a bit more modern that'll boot quick and play some older games (Civilisation 5, Red Alert 4) as they should be played without lag or sacrifising graphics!

I currently have;

Asus P5LD2-SE Motherboard

Intel Pentium D 2.8 GHz (Smithfield)

2 Gb DDR2 RAM

Nvidia Geforce 7600 GT 256Mb

Any suggestions appreciated!

Re: Essential PC upgrade

Hello ianqpr18,

Thank you for contacting us today. It appears that your system is compatible to 4GB of RAM (only 3.25 to 3.5GB usable if you are using a 32 bit operating system). Do you know how the 2GB of RAM is currently installed? If the original RAM is installed as two single 1GB modules you may purchase a 2GB kit (two 1GB modules) to add to the existing. The compatible 2GB kit for your system can be found here. Please let us know if you have any further questions about this upgrade process.
