GA-P35C-DS3R and M500 compatibility

Hi,

I would buy a crucial SSD M500.

Do you know if the crucial SSD M500 is compatible with Gigabyte motherboard GA-P35C-DS3R rev1.

May be, I will need to make BIOS update.

Thanks for your answer.

The SSD advisor says it is: http://www.crucial.com/store/listparts.aspx?model=GA-P35C-DS3R&Cat=SSD

The latest bios is always a good idea as they sometimes include raid controller updates.

Do note that your board is sata 2 so your max sequential speed will be ~260Mb/sec.  You'll still find its real world performance massively faster than a HD though.  I'm still stuck on sata 2 myself. :smileyhappy:

Yep.  They guarantee it compatible with that board.

It ought really to be compatible with anything that has a sata port pretty much.
