I have a CT128M4SSD2 SATA drive. I am experiencing the issue that was hot fixed, I have read a lot about it, with frequent crashes and booting issues.
I have been working on this for a few days, and I'm a bit of a computer ignoramous, so I have made it this far.... But now I'm stuck. When looking at this URL: http://www.crucial.com/support/firmware.aspx which one am I supposed to download?
In addition, if you have a moment, (and again, please keep in mind I'm a bit new to the computer hardware/software scene) can you please explain what to do after I download it? Should I download it directly to a disc, and if so how? Or should I download it and extract it to a disc, and then burn it?
After that, do I just boot up, set my optical drive to be boot priority and just go? Or will I need to change some bios settings?
Thanks a lot in advance!

For that model number you want the Crucial M4 2.5 inch SSD firmware
You can either use the Windows updater which should be simple but sometimes can't find the SSD on some systems and then you have to use the boot cd method.
Or you can go straight to the boot cd method. With that you will download a zip containing an iso file. That iso file needs burned to CD or DVD as IMAGE (not data) Then as you say, you need to change your boot priority. You can do this either from a boot priority menu if you have one, or from the bios. You don't need to do both.
