MacBook Pro Cloning Options

Hello, Is it possible to clone a MacBook Pro HD using the Crucial Easy Laptop Install Kit?

My HD has a Windows Bootcamp partition and I would need to clone it too.

Which is the best way to accomplish that?

I'm running OS X 10.8.4

Thanks for your help.

Most people seem to recommend Carbon Copy Cloner for the Mac OS X side.
One advantage is that is clones the OS X Recovery Partition too.

I've not used it myself, but it appears that you can get a free trial of CCC for long enough to do your migration to SSD.

Unfortunately, I don't know enough about the bootcamp side to comment, but you'll need something else for that, or reinstall your windows partition.

Thank you Alex.

CCC is the one I had in mind too. But you are right; to clone the windows partition I will have to use a different method. Or worse, to reinstall Windows all over again -that's what I wanted to avoid.

Hard to believe no one has developed a solution to clone it in a single step.

Thank you.
