Soudns feasible. Mine is at 28C in a computer that has been on all day. They don't get very warm. I guess this is why they've not had thermometers until now.

So you are saying that the reason why my M4 says 0 Degrees Celsius all the time is because it does NOT measure Temperature?

The M500 has a combined hardware/firmware solution in place that monitors the temperature of the drive. This is called
adaptive thermal throttling, in a typical client computing situation, our testing has shown that the M500 temperature settles in at 40C.
The drive’s thermal throttling feature will adapt to increased thermal activity at around 65C, which is deemed to be a non-standard computing situation. This feature then automatically adjusts the NAND use to cool down the drive so it does not overheat. The 25 degrees you are seeing are perfectly normal so you don't have to worry about that at all.
