Windows 7 64bit and the 64gig Not showing up

I am unable to see it in my bios and also in my disk management in windows.  I'm about to try another sata cable and port, and turned on smart hdd monitoring on my m3n72-d asus board.  Any ideas?

Hi ksarlati,

There are a few things you can try to see what might be causing this problem.  Trying another SATA cable and port is one of them, how did you get on with this?  If this did not resolve the issue please try the following:

1)  Firstly, please ensure that the drive is fully seated/ connected.

2)  Update to the latest version of the BIOS from the manufacturer's website.

3)  Check that you have the latest chipset and motherboard drivers installed.

4)  If possible, connect the drive to another system and see if it is recognised.

If the drive works as it should in another system then it is possibly a set up or compatibility issue, in which case please reply with as much detail as you can regarding your set up.

What mode is your BIOS set to IDE/ AHCI etc.?
