It's possible there's a conflict with the video IRQ, but I've never heard of memory doing that before. Have you ran memtest? Did you put the old memory back in and reboot? What was your result? Have you tried the new stick all by itself? Let us know.

HAVE YOU checked to make sure the power cord to the monitor is still fully plugged into the back of the monitor and the video cable is correctly attached to the video output? Don't laugh, I just "replaced" a 15" LCD that didn't work with a new 21" widescreen and when I arrived to install the new monitor I found the old one didn't have the power cord all the way pushed in.
Didn't have the heart to tell my client, but I told him I would donate it to a nonprofit which I did. He really like the new one, Actually he had me buy him two because he was having a hard time reading the 15"ers, but the old no power thing does happen.

I have an HP DV6700T laptop with the same issue. When I put in 4 gigs I get no screeen...However, when I put in 3 gigs no issue. The chips are not defective. Is there a setting you know about to fix this. I spoke with hp but they are useless. Please assist. Thank you...![]()
