I have a Dell Precision 370 - yes it is old, but a fabulous computer and performs better than some of the newer models in our office. I scanned my computer through crucial website and it was recommended that I upgrade with 2-1GB kit to place in the two empty slots. I currently have a pair of 512GB. When I installed the two pairs, I received the following error message: "MIXING ECC AND NON-ECC DIMMs IS NOT SUPPORTED BY THIS PLATFORM." Please help me resolve. Thank you.

You're system may support both ECC and Non ECC memory. However, the two different memory types cannot be mixed. They work differently from each other. You should contact Crucial Customer Support and ask them about exchanging the memory you recieved for memory that works with the memory you already have. More than likely, your system had ECC memory in it and Crucial sent the Non ECC. Since your system may to be able to use both, this kind of mistake can happen.
