Hi,
I recently purchased 2x512MB sticks for my R40e (version2684) to go from 256MB to 1GB.
Sadly, it's not detecting both sticks, it's only giving me 512MB. Weirdly, the scanner now thinks i have 2x 256MB sticks!

The BIOS only detects 512MB too. I've turned on extended detection, but still wants to believe it's only got 512MB.
Any ideas please? Many thanks in advance.
Edit: Extra info..
BIOS is up to date.
Tested with one 512 stick in - detects 256.
Tested with one 512 stick in and original 256 stick in, detects 512.

There may be an issue with the component density of the modules you recieved. Contact Crucial Customer Support for further assistance.

Yep, spot on. Have organised an RMA and exchange for lower density modules.
Thanks gllynn (and thanks Crucial)
