I use a Toshiba Satellite A665-S6070 and i just installed a pair of DDR3 PC3-10600, DDR3 PC3-8500, DDR3 (non-ECC) 's 4 gb each and now when my laptop goes into sleep mode and is awakened the screen shows for a second and then the laptop shuts off (note: shut off, not shutdown). This pair was recommended by system scan and I confirmed it again with the model recommendations. A few more specs: I run Windows 7 64 bit and I have an intel i7 processor. Can anyone help me?

Are you using the latest BIOS for the system? If not update it as that may help.
Does your BIOS offer an voltage settings for memory or memory controller (IOH or QPI/Vtt)? If you are unsure, and there are voltage settings in the BIOS, please post an image.

The BIOS is up-to-date. I see power management, but those are settings like sleep, e-sata stuff, etc.. Nothing about memory.

Sounds like possible overheating to me. Check the temparature with CPU fan freeware program.

No voltages on the CPU settings pages either? You may need to test each module one at a time with Memtest86+, in case one is possibly faulty
Run at least 5 passes on each stick, or overnight, one at a time so you'll be able to tell if one is bad and the other is OK
