Wishlist and price tracking

Hello Crucial,

I have had the pleasure of ordering memory from your website before and I feel like all went very smoothly in that transaction, but there are two things that would make shopping here even easier.

First, it would be nice to be able to create a "wishlist" or just a shortcut list of items you are interested in.

This way I don't need to browse through the selections all the time and just go straight to the sticks I want to buy by the time I'm ready to buy them.

Second, it would be nice to enable some sort of price tracking on such wishlisted items. Take for instance SSD's, which are currently on the verge of becoming affordable. If I had the option to be automatically notified of price drops for those SSD's I'm interested in, that would encourage me to get back here and buy them.

Re: Wishlist and price tracking

Hi Thrackan,

Thank you for your suggestions- both of which are good and I'm sure will be useful for many customers.  I will pass this feedback on so please keep coming back to check for any changes.

You may not know this, but you can use the Order History records within your online account to reorder products that you may buy frequently.  You can click on the order number which display all items that were in that shopping basket and then you can click on the 'Reorder' button.  This may speed things up for you in the meantime.

Please be aware that the pricing can change on a daily basis due to the market and supply and demand so we would not want to aggravate customers with notifications, especially if you end up ordering and find that the price drops further at some stage.  I'm not sure how feasible this would be but will certainly pass it on for investigation.

Please let us know if you have any other feedback or questions.

Re: Wishlist and price tracking

Hello Crucial_maulmod,

I concur with your view on daily price shifts, and I think there is a way to make sure people don't get spammed daily.

My suggestion is to be able to recieve a notification when a price drops below a certain limit, which the user can set.

For example: the M225 256GB is priced around €470 now. I want to know when the price drops below €450, because that's the budget I would be willing to spend on it.

Sure, that makes me a lazy customer, but it still makes me a customer :smileywink:

In regard to the Order History and Wishlist, I am aware of the Order History option, but I'm looking at products that I did not buy yet.

I'm mainly interested in the Wishlist to follow pricing or checking if a product is already in stock, all with one simple click.

Re: Wishlist and price tracking

Ah I see- I like the idea of a price threshold, this would work much better.  Thanks for clarifying.  :smileyhappy:

We're always looking for ways to improve the website and services we provide to specifically suit our customer's needs so this is really useful.  I'll get it passed on ASAP and hope we may see this implemented in the near future.
