Hello Crucial , well I finally got my x99 system built and its running nicely , but with one minor hardware/ram memory flaw .
Iam running 32gb/2133 DDR4 (4x8) , 2 sets of CT2K8G4DFD8213 , on a Asrock x99 OC Formula 3.1 motherboard .
All sticks do run , but one registers/runs only as a 4gig stick vs the 8gig its supposed to be ; my bios , Windows os/8.1 Pro x64 , etc all show its only running 28gigs of the intended 32gig's.
Ive tested all the memory sticks , in all slots and every slot configuration possible , with the same results everytime showing (in the bios) the same single stick as a 4gig in any given slot (vs its factory listed 8gig) .
Its a wierd ,but minor problem .
I'd like to do an rma , and would also like to know if to return just the single stick or the two sticks that came in the 2x8gig set .
Any help to get me going in the correct rma direction ,will be greatly appreciated !
Thx again , stereo55
