RAM warranty in a prebuilt system

Hi,in 2014 I bought a prebuilt pc, but some months ago the crucial ram in it died. I had another stick(a different one) and the pc worked,so I'm sure the ram was the problem. The vendor warranty is over, but can I replace my ram from crucial directly? I did a replacement request, but I should send the ram in its original package, which I don't have since the stick was in a pre-built pc

You don't need the original packaging.   Just make sure the RAM is in an anti-static bag and sent in a container that won't bend or damage it during shipping.
