RMA Number

Hi,

 

I would like to know how long does it take to get a RMA number. Because I requested my RMA a week ago (06/20/2009) and I did not get anything yet.

All I got was the confirmation of my RMA request was received.

Same thing here. I filled out an RMA form on the 20th, it's now the 28th and I've only received the initial confirmation email but no follow-up with the RMA number.

Yeah seems like we will have to wait for a long time now.

Probably I will end up buying a new kit and resell when I get the RMA kit.

To both of you:

 

I don't know why the emails didn't reach you, and I apologize for that. I have submitted a request to look into the issue, to have it fixed. In the mean time, from what I can find both your requests were processed on the day they were submitted.

 

Crucial RMA numbers are valid for ten business days; we will extend that time period for you both, to compensate for the lost days. I have asked Customer Service to send you the emails again, to the email address you provided on the RMA requests. If you don't receive your emails with RMA information in the next hour, please come back here and let me know.

Thanks for the attention, now I got it my RMA number. And I appreciate your effort!

But I have a question:

When you said the RMA number is valid for ten business days, is it valid ten business day for the memory to get to Crucial? I am asking that because I am not in US and probably it will take longer for my memory to get there.

I'm glad you received the email, thanks for letting me know. It is ten business days to ship it, not for the memory to arrive, and because of the email not reaching you the first time, for you that's ten days from today, not from the 20th.

 

I have also put a note on your account (and on Quaraxkad's) about what happened with the first emails, so if it takes longer that will not be a problem at all.

Hi, I am also in the same situation as others in this post.  I requested my RMA number on June 22, and I received the confirmation, but I did not receive an actual RMA number.  Can you look into this as well?
