Help: I have a MSI K9N2 SLI Platinum mobo, but the specs on the board says the dimms can't go over 1.8V but the Memory I have is the Crucial Ballistix Tracer 800MHz 2.0V, can this memory work with new board, I am new to this and do not want to mess anything up, can someone help, John.

Re: Ballistix Tracer voltage

We generally do not recommend exceeding the manufacturer's specifications for a system or motherboard. The Ballistix Tracer modules should still run if you install them at the 1.8V, as long as you leave the motherboard to set the thimings rather than configure them manually.
