Gigabyte ga-990fxa-ud3 Rev 1.2 MB Crucial Ballistics 1866 memory upgrade

I have just upgraded the memory in my gaming PC to 8GB DDR3 Crucial Ballistics 1866 RAM (CT2596444 BLT2CP4G3D1869DT1TX0CEU.16FED2)

The PC specs are as follows:-
• Gigabyte ga-990fxa-ud3 Rev 1.2 motherboard
• 8GB DDR3 Crucial Ballistics 1866 RAM
(CT2596444 BLT2CP4G3D1869DT1TX0CEU.16FED2)
• Kingston HyperX 240GB Solid State Drive (SSD) OS HDD
• NVidia GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB DDR5 Graphics card

I need to know the correct memory timing please as it is set up currently the screen freezes when recovering from going to sleep.

Currently the DRAM configuration is set up as follows:-
• CPU Host Clock control Auto
  o xCPU Frequency 200MHz
• Memory Clock x9.33 1866Mhz
• DCTs Mode Unganged
• DD3 Timing items Manual
• Command timings 2T
• CAS# latency 9T
• RAS to CAS R/W Delay 9T
• Row percentage time 9T
• Minimum RAS Active time 27T
• TwTr Command Delay 5T
• Trfc0 (Dimm1, Dimm3) 160ns
• Trfc1 (Dimm2, Dimm4) 160ns
• Write recovery time 10T
• Percentage change time 5T
• Row cycle time 33T
• RAS to RAS Delay 4T

Any help much appreciated.

The timings for that part are 9-9-9-27. It's often simplest just to enable XMP in the BIOS, and let the Intel profile automatically set these timings. There is typically no reason to ever manually configure your timings unless you want to run faster than the XMP speed, or are troubleshooting some sort of issue.

Thank you for that.  Is that the same for AMD motherboards please as I could not find XMP in the bios settings?

Kind regards

Do you see a menu an option like this?

This is apparently from a Rev 4.0 board, not a Rev 1.2, not sure if they're the same. If there is no XMP option in the BIOS then timmings will need to be manually configured.

No, but would this be the equivalent? :-

DRAM E.O.C.P

Allows you to determine whether to use the preset memory overclocking profile to achieve optimum overclocking performance. (Default: Disabled)

Taken from the Rev 1.2 manual

Many thanks
