Bios set to "Raid" during clean install to a new SSD Win8.1

My question is would I get any increase in speed if I was to repeat a clean install with Bios set to ACHI. I tried just to swap it over and restart but it didn't like that at all. I have windows 8.1 64 bit running at this time.

Raid only really increases performance in video editing ect. If gaming g there really no speed increase very very few game actually get benefit to load times with raid  raid actually make your computer boot slower if ya got a nvme sad then just stick with ahci unless your using Rai for backup purpouses . Ya can search online  for the proof games don't really benefit from raid. So  if ya got any questions hollar
